Broker

An intermediary organisation that supports/advises employers, and where appropriate signposts them to provision.

Content Partner

An organisation that provides content to be searched by the talentmap^TM tool. See also "full partner".

Full Partner

A content partner who also displays the Roving Brand on their organisation's website.

Roving Brand

The talentmap "Roving Brand" is a visual branding device that sits on our partner sites. It does two key things:

it gives our partners the "We're part of talentmap^TM" endorsement
it provides links into the talentmap^TMservice.

The Roving Brand will sit on all our partner sites so a variety of options have been created to fit flexibly within all site structures.

All options come in black or white. Black is the preferred brand option. Further flexible and more interactive versions will be created as part of the next iterations of the service.

talentmap^TM

A UK-wide collaboration of employers, governments and brokers working together to create a simple view of the education, employment and skills systems across the UK – and help more employers do more to improve talent and skills.

talentmap^TM coalition

A UK-wide business-led coalition that has driven the development of the talentmap^TMframework and web tool. The coalition consists of business organisations and Governments across the UK. These are:

Business:

Business in the Community (BITC)
Confederation of British Industry (CBI)
Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)
Sector Skills Councils (SSCs)
UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES)

National Governments and Westminster Departments:

Northern Ireland Executive
Scottish Government
Welsh Assembly Government
Westminster Departments BERR, CRC, DCSF, DIUS, DWP, HMRC/Business Link and the Talent and Enterprise Taskforce

talentmap^TM coalition members are represented on the talentmap project board or steering group.

talentmap^TM framework

A joined up view to help employers understand the education, employment and skills system and build a plan for their business.

talentmap^TM webtool

A search tool that allows employers to find help from across the talentmap content providers. Results can be filtered by type of support needed (eg courses, funding, contacts) and location (country and English regions). Searches are related to the 5 themes and categories of the talentmap^TMframework.
